Ha ha, of course I know you really meant "interpretive conduction inner join", nice try!

The performance penalty of having the left outer table cached, while the non-matching NULL rows from the upper merge quadrant are saved aft of the poop deck is of course much too severe.

I do appreciate your pioneering work in extending the relational model, that SNOOZE predicate was really something. And I loved your flame war with C.J. Date on the comp.relvars.for.dummies newsgroup. Go easy on the old guy, though, he's the only person I know whose last name is a datatype. (One that is usually y2k-proof, too.)
