No, I feel certain that our edward shapiro is not the one who was on the O.J. Simpson team. However, Oilex's legal firm is in California (makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?). The name of the firm is Christensen, Miller, Fink, Jacobs, Glaser, Weil & Shapiro, LLP. Unless I am mistaken, the Shapiro in this firm IS the same one who was on the O.J. Simpson team. Seems kind of fitting, doesn't it?
