The fire jumped the Columbia and is now in Washington.
I just met with a client who lives in Boring, OR. He had hoped to be heading home today, but it appears he might not make it, with I-84 closed and WA-14 on the Washington side now in doubt.

Edit: Appears 14 is still open but it's going to be a mess. From WSDOT:

SR 14 Both Directions - Update - Eagle Creek Wildfire SR 14 is closed to truck traffic from Washougal, mp 19 to Dallesport, mp 84. The fire has caused the complete closure of I-84 and westbound traffic is being diverted to SR 14 in Washington. Parking on the shoulders both directions is prohibited except in emergency situations. Use caution and expect delays beginning at 17:54 pm on September 4, 2017.

At milepost 43

Edit Edit:

On Sunday, Oregon State Police said the fire appeared to be human-caused, likely by the misuse of fireworks. They said a suspect has been identified.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Oregon State Police, U.S. Forest Service, Hood River Sheriff's Office, Hood River District Attorney's Office and fire personnel.

I say string the person up.
