Nidarius, I neglected to address your specific question in my previous response.

< Is your astute friend of yours the same person who is helping you with information on NVX? If so,
maybe we should do a little fact checking. >

The answer to the question is, NO . My information on NVX comes from having followed the stock since '92. Most of my information in the '93 -'94 period came from Tucker Anythony reports and some from calls to the company and of course their quarterly releases. In the '94/'95 period I got alot of help from none other than Sturza's Newsletters and from what he would get the media to report. He helped me ask the right questions to the company and forced me to do the right research as to what was really was going on. I read everything I could get access to on DTaP. This included going into the archives of medical journals, and in some cases calling the publishing authors themselves. I called Chiron, and Smith Kline Beecham, I got analyst reports on them, I spoke to a few Doctors, in short I tried to exhaust ever channel of input. Why? Each time the stock fell I increased my position to the point where it became quite a sizable part of my portfolio. In the last year my efforts have really paid off. My position has been endorsed by Buckingham Research, Penn Merchants, UBS Securities and Goldman Sachs.Early on I had taken Connaughts agreement as a partial endorsement of NVX's technology in the developement of vaccines and of course the $86 million convertible bond float gave me a confortable feeling, because at that time the shorts were right that the company was running out of cash.. But the biggest endorsement has been Abbott. I should perhaps add here also that each time someone from Merck joined NVX I took that as an endorsement. By endorsement, I mean confirmation that being long was the correct investment position on NVX.
Well, that is a brief summary of the sources of my information. Needless to say I have found that passive investment doesn't work for me so that is why I am here always looking for input , another perspective, to exchange ideas. Here's hoping we can have a dialog: Get down to some serious "fact checking". :-} .
