IMO, when there is a bull market and expectations of expanding economic growth into the foreseeable future, fundamentals never "catch up" with the stock price. People who trade fundamentals do so with a much longer time frame than a few quarters. They look at the long term viablity of a company, its products, its industry etc. etc.
