My wife and her parents drove up here from Naples two days ago .... with

dogs and cats and all. The property/house is about 10 miles west of Vanderbilt beach. We have no idea if anything will survive this thing. We're just watching updates here, and know that most of it will have passed by dinnertime. Pins and needles.

Besides the house and lots of nice trees, there are about 30 fruit trees about 5-6 years old (lots of work) with some seeds I brought in from far-away places. Some actually grew. I had a custard apple (better than Cherimoya, I think .... but same family) yesterday. The last one. Probably the only one in the whole country. :)

(That was my cheap attempt at being unique). :)

I am really hoping that everything survives. Or else life is going to be a mess.
