Did the IRS deny tax exemption status to even one conservative political sounding organization? No, therefore it's a smoke screen. A lie put out by republicans to get the base worked up. In the real world, the IRS should have denied tax exempt status to these political organizations but the law is meaningless now. The law says tax exemption is for organizations that advance the public welfare.
