years ago, I launched the idea of covering part of the ocean with solar panels to reduce the violence of hurricanes. If the solar panels converts light in electrical energy, the temperature of the ocean would reduce. Today I have other related idea: to cover rivers with solar panels, so with a lower temperature the river water would help to reduce the temperature of the ocean.
