Zzpat, I don't see anything that is inconsistent with what I said. Democrats love blaming Bush for the Great Recession, but the fact is that they were in control of Congress for two years prior, and they did NOTHING to try and stop the Great Recession. They didn't try to stop the subprime mortgages before it all came crashing down, they didn't look into mortgage derivatives until they too came crashing down, and they didn't do anything but obstruct obstruct obstruct. End result: Great Recession happens, Democrats get their Dear Leader elected, and they go on to try and "save" the economy by socializing medicine. Even then, the recession didn't really end until the Republicans retook control of the House in 2011. No one but complete idiots truly believe that Obama and the Democrats "prevented a crisis from turning into a catastrophe." Tenchusatsu
