"Anti-China" is an odd description of those comments attributed to Mr Bannon.
The definition of "anti-China" needs some elaboration in the same way that I'm "anti-American" requires elucidation.
Such epithets are not really much use in such discussions.
In a similar way it wouldn't make much sense for a couple in a marriage to be "anti-husband" or "anti-wife". There might be some issues to discuss and resolve to mutual satisfaction and synergy, but that is far from being anti.
Made in China is a very big deal as are the USA exports such as Qualcomm know-how, chips, iPhones, oil exploration and production, Tesla, Facebook, Google, Amazon, GPS and on and on and on.
Even if Big Don is president for 20 years, MAGA won't involve Made in China reverting to Made in USA.
In a globalized world, being anti-Russia, anti-China, anti-EU, anti-USA, anti-Switzerland, anti-Singapore etc etc etc is simply silly. Which is not to say some heavy duty negotiation and even physical challenges might not be necessary such as to eliminate ISIS or Iran or Gadaffi or Saddam or Kim the Fatter, or Osama et al.
