It is amazing how suddenly the Red Cross that helped so many generations of people is now being criticized. One thing a person cannot change is the color of their skin. Each person needs to look at them selves in a mirror and say to themselves, thank you God for your being alive. Being a child of WWII and having been given blood by the Red Cross volunteers let me say forget what color you are and be grateful that we have compassionate people of all colors. Just be sure that the blood type is correct and that the donors are not contaminated with AIDS which is transmitted via the blood. mj
