I think there is a high P/E because of the future growth rate of the industry and well as the uncertainty that lies ahead with this new emerging industry. As far as the market being matured, I think that that will be quite a few years away. The internet is new to everybody and there are many people who haven't even gotten online yet, but will in the future. Kids are being taught this in schools now and may use it at home after learning how to use it. There are certainly many risks associated with AOL but who knows exactly what will happen. It's not like there is much history in the industry to look back upon. If they can keep themselves established as a leader in the industry and can gain market share they should be fine. And there is a lot of money to be made. I feel that Advertising is going to be a big money maker as well. They have just started with this and the profits should be significant. Then again who knows-these are just my opinions and my reasons for investing in the company. Only time will tell with this industry and the leaders will emerge and profit nicely.
