TRENCHING TO BEGIN ON BAROYA CONCESSION

Willis W. Osborne, Director of Shiega Resources Corporation, would like to announce the
immediate commencement of a 800 metre, one month long trenching program on the Baroya
Concession in Mali. Shiega holds a 65% interest, Robex, a 25% interest and Malian partners, a
10% interest in the concession which is located east of and adjacent to the property held by Oliver
Gold where the 1.5 million ounce Segala deposit occurs.

Three areas will be initially trenched. The first is on the western side of the southern block of the
Baroya concession. The target is a major east-northeasterly trending fault zone that is believed to be
mineralized with gold. Coincident gold soil anomalies, artisanal workings and chargeability highs
extend northeasterly for 3,500 metres through the southern block of the concession. Gold has been
found along this zone both to the east and west of Baroya.

The second area is on the western side of the northern corridor where 2 quartz veins have been
found. One 2 metre wide northwesterly trending quartz vein has been followed for 100 metres
through native workings and is currently the site of artisanal gold mining. A second 2 metre wide
vein also occurs here. These veins will be trenched to determine whether they are individual veins,
part of a larger vein system or mineralized altered zones.

The third area to be tested is an area on line with the Segala zone where anomalous soils up to
2,830 ppb gold have been found along what may be the extension to the Segala deposit.

A drill program will follow at the completion of trenching.
