Yes, I know. He was pretty much from the mid - and in that case went for same color. Powell could IMO easily have become US president, had he wanted to and gone for it with pro assistance, though. For Dems or GOP. Being 100% black, definitely not born in Kenya - and with brains and sympathy to go, he would have been a superior pick to Obama at any time! Same goes for Condi Rice, who could even possibly besides being black have become the first US female president :)
