I disagree. I think they have to do this to command their current
market cap. Otherwise, anybody could come in and steal their market
because no loyalty has been built. Look at what Iomega did to
Syquest. The same thing 'could' happen to Iomega.

They have 250million+ shares outstanding, placing them with many
of the large caps, for godsake. AND they are only a one product
company, who's hold is good now, but later may be tenuous at best.

When Iomega controls mindshare, and the product is an irreplaceable
part of a computer system, then it is in a monopolistic position,
and can be compared with Intel and Microsoft.

Until then, one has to be careful, and keep a close eye on the
business. Watch OEM penetration for a clue AND the percentage of
aftermarket sales for signs of slowdowns. I haven't seen any yet..
