OT: HB, I got my 10 gal. Donor pin a few yrs back.
The questionnaire is more comprehensive than ever.
Now the Red Cross even questions your blood if you were
in the military since 1980. I was never overseas during my
enlistment '79-'84, so they take my blood.
Back in the '90s I gave blood so regularly that I had the
questions memorized. LOL. It freaked out some of the volunteers.

Another thing that changed is that you can now give blood
after age 62. But I stopped at 62 anyway. Too much scar
tissue on my donor veins.
