Scott, I got some unsolicited mail from you, I am waiting for the police to check it first (G). As for back of the envelop, it did not say if those where copper dore in which there has been a concentration process, or if these are simply the copper directly from the smelting proces. If the latter, than it is no big deal. If the former, that could mean quite a lot.
I figure that with the current furnaces they have they should be able to process at least a ton a day, and if they have expanded their electrowinning process capacity to process all the copper from the smelter (and why else would they increase furnace capacity?), then I would say that they should be able to generate $50,000 per month if they work day in day out. That should, IMHO, get them beyond break even.
Now, the question is of course, do I understand this news release correctly?
I was still under the impression that the bottle neck is electrowinning, not smelting. So why add smelter? Unless, of course they are using Twifford's precipitates as raw material for smelting (and producing those copper dor‚'s). Now, if that is the case, than my number should be much larger and this company is finally moving. Can anyone translate the release so I can use the back of my envelope a little more efficiently?
Zeev
PS, it has been sometime since I have posted such a positive post, I'd better go check what is wrong with my turnips. |
