Since I use CCleaner I decided to run Malwarebytes on two of my machines that have it.
On my Windows 7 desktop, three PUPs were found and quarantined, but on my laptop,
Windows Defender sent off an an alarm while Malwarebytes was running, but when I opened it, nothing
was found. However when Malwarebytes finished, it had found two PUPS and sure enough, Trojan.Floxif in the CCleaner installer that was still somewhere on the laptop. After a reboot, the Trojan was removed and the other two PUPS were in quarantine.
Now I'm going to run Spybot and TrendMicro's Housecall.
FYI
