They didn't update their servers with patches that were available. How lazy is that?
Not lazy. Completely irresponsible.

Equifax is a huge repository of credit information. They should be on top of every single security patch out there. They should keep track of every server and every program that is installed on their machines.

"Oops, we missed a few" is like a nuclear missile commander saying, "Oops, we missed a few." Or a surgeon saying, "Oops, we missed a few steps."
