as to funding, as i remember, mom and dad seeded me, as i shall seed my kids, and i got scholarship, worked as caretaker for a building, and teach-assited with finance and engineering classes, and had a loan
all in all it was an investment that has returned nicely ... the particular history is important, and history generally is important
you know, all per culture / systemics / etc etc, ala education, learning, thrift, savings, sharing, nurturing, ...
