Yes, Mainframe was in the magazine, not a feature but a four or five page article.
The Article chronicled the history of the company, had interviews with some key directors and highlighted upcoming projects etc.
Keep in mind that institutions and employees own above 60% of the company, so any "US" buyer would have to make a pretty sweet offer as well as convince the firm that it is better not to go it alone.
It'll be interesting to see if there is a bid, as it would be pretty hard to integrate this company into a larger one as the company has quite a distinct culture.
I was in Vancouver last weekend, and talked to some contacts about two local firms i was intersted in:Mainframe and Rainmaker, and word is that Rainmaker was the one that had acquisition talk (although now unfounded).
I would be interested to know further about this US suitor, do you have any clues? (How do you know it is mid-sized etc.?)
