Gene,
maybe we should be dealing with the ISSUES causing all this protest
Yeah, maybe we should, shouldn't we?

It's not like we haven't been dealing with these ISSUES when Rodney King was beaten and the cops were acquitted of assault and battery, thus leading to the L.A. Riots of 1992.

It's not like we haven't been dealing with these ISSUES when Mark Furman said his racist crap, which then helped lead to O.J. getting acquitted for double homicide.

It's not like we haven't been dealing with these ISSUES when Trayvon Martin got shot, or that "gentle giant" Michael Brown, or Eric Garner, or any other black guy who died at the hands of a white cop or vigilante.

Yeah, I'm so glad a second string quarterback who was quickly becoming irrelevant in the NFL brought this issue into the limelight. Until then I had NO IDEA that black men were often treated harshly by cops.

Wow, thank you, Colin Kaepernick! And thank you, all you Social Justice Warriors out there! Without any of you, I would have never known what sort of injustice these black men have to face every single day!
