I am as old or older than you are and I clearly remember Cassius Clay. However, you seem to have become frozen in your mind about him at the Olympics. I was at the Peace Rally in Los Angeles when he spoke after he refused to go kill 'brown people" who wanted to drive out foreign intruders from their country; just as Americans had driven out the British during our fight for freedom and independence. Are you watching Ken Burns Vietnam series, or do you think that is fake news?
Did you serve your country in the military. I did during the early part of the Vietnam conflict, stationed in Germany ,and working in a Division HQ., commanded by General Stanley "Swede" Larson, who later became the Commander of Central Vietnam. I talked with him many times (I was a PFC clerk typist working for the G3). . I won two medals and was encouraged many times by officers I worked for to become an officer and Ranger. So don't talk to me about the flag.
