You said "republicans never raise taxes." I showed you that Reagan raised taxes at least 5 times as President. Granted, those tax increases weren't as large as the initial tax cuts.

Reagan fans point to increased revenue as if all his tax increases didn't increase revenue. I guess I should be glad you recognize that revenues DID increase throughout the Reagan years.

A lot of people realized in the 80's that tax rates that are too high are self-defeating. In some cases, revenue can be raised by cutting taxes.

Most Democrats are in love with high tax rates for their own sake idealizing tax rates above 50% even though those rates discourage economic activity and encourage tax sheltering activities.
