Actually, I do not believe the Asian situation has much
impact, if any on CVUS, or LMDS equipment manufacturers.
Outside the USA, Canada and Europe are the two areas where
substantial LMDS activity is taking place. The European
economies are expected to grow significantly during the
next 2 years (a fact which is conveniently ignored by
analysts who are constantly beating the drumbeat of the
Asian meltdown). The LMDS auction is the primary variable
affecting CVUS's stockprice. An extended delay would
have negative consequences, since: a) CVUS has a
significant cash burn as it builds up its system and
recruits customers, and b) cable companies will be
moving ahead with two-way HFC cable upgrades and cable modem
services. If LMDS service does not get rolled out soon,
it will have an awfully hard time to catch up.

There is also a matter of fairness: LMDS operators
have been waiting for this auction for years. In the
meantime, TGNT got a large slice of spectrum for free!
It does not take a suspicious mind to realize that
something not quite right is going on.
