Say what you want , SA, but those of us holding shares of WDC are doing the same thing as Bain, et al. All of these companies that have joined the Bain consortium feel like they can make a good deal regardless of WDC's legal challenge. The worst effect, if this deal goes through (and I fully believe it will), this stock is dead money for a minimum of a year, maybe two. If WDC loses the case, this stock goes back to the $40's...or less because SK Hynix will gain access to all of the technology developed by Toshiba and WDC will be stuck trying to sell older generations of NAND while the leading edge technology will be deployed in the newest fab.

For myself, I would give a lot to know what in the hell WDC did to create what appears to a deep seated hatred by Toshiba. Even Apple told WDC to back off. Will we ever know what went on behind the closed doors of the boardroom? This goes beyond your excuse of Japanese executives trying to save face. There is something else in play here.
