That depends on a given number of variables. The product your packaging, The size of the run, how much value added your doing to the packaging. By value added. I mean specialty substrates. Meaning the paper board type, holographic foils, specialty stamping, number of colors, windowing, ect ect.
In general, because of unknown factors. I would be hard pressed to give specifics percentages. I'm more comfortable saying. The higher the customer requirements, the higher the price. This type of printing, high end packaging, is of the highest quality in the printing industry. Thus it yields higher margins than traditional commercial printing. Packaging printing is a bright spot in the printing industry. Commercial printing IMO is dying a slow death. By commercial printing. I mean Magazines, newspapers, mail order flyers, business form, ect ect.
So In general answer to your question it could be on some products. IMO for many of high end products it's a No because the retail value product itself commands a premium price. Many companies have high end and low end products. |
