If your problem isn't fixed by the upgrade to 4.04, check this out. It sounds from the symtoms you described like you might have the memory leak problem that comes from opening and closing a large number of sockets. See if you have windows\system\kernel32.dll, size=411k (explorer reported size=402k), date=2/2/96. If not, you can download it from:

support.microsoft.com.
