Not in Arkansas but neighboring Tennessee, Dr. Joe Busch in Chattanooga is one of the best (if not THE best) prostate radiologists in the country. People from all over the US go to him because of the technical excellence of his MRIs and because of his extensive experience (>7000 scans read) in interpreting scans.

Not all MRIs and radiologists are created equal. I drive 400 miles and 6 hours from the Charlotte area even though MRIs are available at several hospitals within a 1 hour drive. BCBSNC approved Dr. Busch for insurance even though TN is outside their NC network.

I suggest you also join the US TOO community on Inspire.com for prostate support. If you ask there are probably some members who may recommend other alternatives closer to you.

IMHO a PSA of 5 definitely indicates the need for a good MRI as your next step...NOT a blind 12-needle biopsy, which is what 95% of urologists will recommend. If your only tool is a hammer, everyone looks like a nail.
