Medicare is not single payer, if only due to they only pay 80%, they exclude much from coverage (like MRIs) and the drug plans aren't free either, plus the Feds don't even negotiate drug prices. Plus medical is only about 8% of CPI, while medical is over 16% of GDP. Lots of horse puckey in the games that are played in the medical area that are seldom detailed or noted by nanny state fans.

I don't know what planet you live on, but no lines for care is a fantasy and lie. Getting an appointment to see most doctors except in an emergency is usually a 1-2 week process at best unless one is a member of a private plan in which actual house calls do still happen. And even you note that it needs to be stricter.
