Info on Steele dossier - roughly 80% confirmed and rising .. including multiple tapes of Trumpov and hookers:

The media fell down BADLY on Burr's presser. CNN—Burr did NOT say "we're still searching for any hint of collusion."

Seth Abramson?Verified account @SethAbramson

2/ Burr said his brief was to "look into all evidence to see if there was any hint of collusion." That's DIFFERENT from what media reported.

3/ The (dare I say it) inadvertent "fake news" CNN and others spread about the Burr presser allowed the White House to LIE to America today.

4/ Trump and his cronies wouldn't have DARED miscast Burr's presser as an exoneration of Trump if U.S. media hadn't misreported the presser.

5/ Burr said collusion is an "open" question, as the investigation is months from completion and all findings will be announced at the end.

6/ In investigations, a theory is "open" if you're still investigating it. That's true even if you already have much evidence to support it.

----------------------------------------------------------
2/ Pull-quote: "The FBI and intel community last year took the Steele dossier more seriously than the agencies have publicly acknowledged."

3/ I—and many others—deduced this from public reports, which is why this feed has for months had a *single* mantra as its guiding principle:

4/ "The Steele Dossier is at least 80% correct—and if it's even 50% accurate, it's the biggest treason in the history of the United States."

5/ So the news that, as many of us suspected, U.S. media was WRONG to downplay the dossier—and UK media RIGHT to trumpet it—is VERY welcome.

6/ For too long America was in thrall to Trump's lies on the dossier: Steele's not a top spy; he worked for Dems; the dossier was disproven.

7/ FACT: *Republicans* hired Fusion GPS, which contracted to an entirely separate entity (Orbis, the company run by Steele and a partner).

8/ FACT: Steele—a British national—did some dossier research pro bono, giving it to the FBI for free because he was worried about America.

9/ FACT: Steele was MI6's top Russia man for years—had the best Russia sources of anyone in MI6—and has a sterling professional reputation.

10/ FACT: Steele is considered such a good spy—has such good HUMINT—he has partnered successfully with federal law enforcement in the past.

11/ FACT: Of the many elements of Steele's dossier that CAN be independently confirmed right now, nearly ALL have been proven to be correct.

12/ FACT: We already know some of Steele's sources—they're well-placed Russian officials/oligarchs in positions to know the intel they gave.

13/ FACT: Steele's work was so quickly deemed credible by law enforcement AND our courts that Comey got a FISA warrant with it immediately.

14/ FACT: Trump and his allies' smears of Steele are transparent and false. And worse than that, they've repeatedly and knowingly told lies.

15/ FACT: Trump and the GOP lied about who compiled the dossier. It was NOT Fusion GPS (Simpson), it was a separate entity—Orbis (Steele).

16/ FACT: HUMINT not connected to Steele—e.g., an interview with Kata Sarka BEFORE anyone knew of Steele's dossier—bolsters Steele's work.

17/ FACT: The dossier accurately predicted subsequent events that could only have been anticipated by well-placed sources telling the truth.

18/ FACT: Trump's ongoing and deranged obsession with the dossier is seen by seasoned criminal lawyers as a sign of consciousness of guilt.

19/ FACT: Trump using Nunes to send GOP minions to find and intimidate Steele in England is ANOTHER sign of Trump's consciousness of guilt.

20/ So in mid-January, when the dossier was published, I and many others began working from its details because of knowledge and experience.

21/ So we know the FBI, the DOJ, the federal courts, AND Bob Mueller find the HUMINT in Steele's dossier to be reliable enough to work from.

22/ As these and other CJS officials knew, Steele and family fled their home in January not because his work was a hoax—because it was true.

23/ And it's now confirmed that Steele evaded Trump's minions not because his work was a hoax, but because *he was in contact with Mueller*.

24/ At this point there is ZERO reason to think that the Steele Dossier is a hoax, and EVERY reason to think it is "more than 80% accurate."

25/ And if the Steele Dossier is 80% accurate, Donald Trump and his conspirators committed the greatest crime in American political history.

[ It's a sad thing to say but the Trumpster base DOESN'T CARE IF TRUMP IS GUILTY! ]

26/ Mueller meeting with Steele means that he is officially a *cooperating witness* in the Trump-Russia probe. That's a very, very big deal.

27/ And as THE INDEPENDENT reported last week, we know Mueller has already found one of Steele's sources and is REGULARLY using him or her.

28/ What we learned today means Steele almost certainly directed Mueller to that source. Which means he has *chosen to divulge his sources*.

29/ Trump—who all the evidence we have says is guilty of multiple crimes—now must assume Steele AND his sources are all available witnesses.

30/ While some of those sources—i.e., the Russia-dwelling ones—may NOT be available, if Mueller knows them he MIGHT be able to extract them.

31/ In any case, Trump—who well knows the dossier is largely true—must now assume that Mueller COULD access any or all of Steele's sources.

32/ This means that Mueller has never been in greater danger of being illegally fired by Trump (or legally fired by a Trump crony) than now.

33/ This means our Congress must IMMEDIATELY move to pass legislation ensuring Donald Trump cannot illegally fire the man investigating him.

34/ FACT—because I forgot to mention it earlier—we know Putin knows the dossier is true, because he had one of its primary sources murdered.

35/ Oleg Erovinkin—the right-hand man to Igor Sechin, Rosneft CEO and a top Putin crony—was found dead in the back of his car last December.

36/ Erovinkin was widely reported to be a Steele source—and his death coincided with the point at which Putin first learned of the dossier.

37/ The point being, there's already been at least one death intended to neutralize the dossier's evidence. It's a VERY powerful document.

38/ So—without implying Trump will now try to have people killed, which I DON'T believe—I WILL say that Mueller's job must be secured ASAP.

39/ And I hope news outlets—I'm looking at you, New Republic—who said that anyone who believed Steele was a conspiracy theorist will relent.

40/ Why? Because—FACT—even the dossier's most "salacious" claims were confirmed TRUE by the CIA to the BBC. {end}

PS/ So the answer to the much-asked question, "Is there a pee tape?" is, according to the CIA and the BBC, the following twenty-four words:

PS2/ "There is more than one tape, audio and video, from more than one place, on more than one date, of a sexual nature." —The CIA

[ I've always thought this was true. 1) Trumpov is a moron 2) Trumpov has always acted like Putin has his balls in his pocket. The only question is how young were the hookers? ]

PS3/ As to why Trump firing Mueller is illegal: POTUS can fire Executive employees for any reason UNLESS the reason is ILLEGAL—Obstruction.

PS4/ CNN—CIA/FBI took Steele's work so seriously they kept it from the Russia meddling report to not reveal which parts they'd corroborated.

PS5/ Really take a *hard* look at that last tweet—Mueller has corroborated parts of the dossier so explosive he doesn't want anyone to know.

PS6/ Or—Mueller corroborated a section of the dossier so replete with specialized/hard-to-get intel it could only have come from ONE person.

PS7/ If the latter, it suggests that Mueller knows the source, trusts the source, and therefore wants to be certain the source is kept safe.
