Re: Informal Y2K poll for all

We've documented on this thread a vast increase in the amount of Y2K related articles over the last month. But is the potential impact of Y2K on society actually making an impact on society? In other words, is the general populace -- i.e. the vast majority that don't read this thread -- finally at least somewhat "aware" of the problem?

Well, there's only one way to find out: just ask friends and relatives and see what they say. I'm not sure exactly what one should ask, but at least ask about software and embedded systems. Then please report back here with the results.

My guess: some awareness of the problem, but little awareness of the potential impact.
