I am posting this as perhaps and add too of fake news or borderline false information. McDonalds offered at 2 for $5 special included in that was 1/4 pounders and two were ordered just two. Purchase price was full price and of course inquiry resulted in the statement that this location does not have that promotion. That statement irritated me because I thought of a family who had a few kids and whoosh went the savings and down went the size of the order for the kids. I wrote McDonald's got what I believe to be a form reply.

I apologize for your recent disappointment while trying to participate in one of our recent promotions. We recommend that all McDonald's restaurants participate in our nationally advertised promotions. However, approximately 90 percent of McDonald's restaurants are owned and operated by independent business people. As independent owners, McDonald's franchisees have the authority to make certain decisions as they relate to their McDonald's restaurant operations, which include participation in promotions. For this reason, all of our commercials state, "at participating McDonald's."

Nevertheless, your comments are important to us, and we have shared them with our Marketing staff for their on-going review.

What this states is only 10% of the chain must provide the promotion. Why advertise a special if you are not participating in that special. I am pro corp but I also am pro US business with fake nothing who advocates honest.
