David, I agree that MU is a very tough player, albeit in a shakey product market. No question higher spot prices are a good thing for MU. Whether they stick or keep climbing is another question.

I just find it funny that of all the rumors the usual suspects could start, they pick "the Koreans can't buy glue".

I mean, why don't they just come out and say "hi there. We're going to start to run this up. We want everyone to buy out-of-the money calls. And then we're going to pull the plug. Ha. Ha. Ha."

Granted, that's a warped perspective...

...but it's my warped perspective <g>

Speaking of warped perspectives...

More terrific financial "journalism" in action again courtesy of CNBC's Bob Pisani. DRAM prices on some configs. have increased, there are wacky rumors that competitors can't buy glue, but the "story" on MU according to CNBC, a real bunch of "truth-seekers" mind you, is...

...a "double-bottom" called by some anonymous technicians (broadcast app. 8:52 EST). It's the second day in a row CNBC is mentioning the double-bottom "story" on MU. I sort of missed CNBC reporting the Lehman downgrade a few days ago.

I guess a real firm making a real downgrade isn't as newsworthy as a bunch of unspecified technicians calling a double-bottom.

Good trading,

Tom
