high pe's are usually the reward of high growth--not 'uncertainty'. aol is growing pretty consistently at 100% per year--and is therefore pretty good value at the current pe if you believe that the explosive growth of the category in the US, international expansion and growing advertising revenues will allow aol to maintain this growth rate! the stock got a bit ahead of itself but is now about to enter the winter growth period for both subs and ad=spend decision making. they're announcing their new fall ad campaign on monday and will doubtless 'flight' that pr announcement with a number of other favorable pr notices as they usually do. not a good time to be short imho--especially as shorts are nursing losses from the recent run-up: ideal conditions for margin pressure and a continuing short squeeze!
