Bartiromo asks Trump to explain his tax plan – his answer is… very Trump
Oct. 22, 2017 12:54 pm by SooperMexican

Maria Bartiromo tells Trump she follows his tax plan really really well. Then she asks him a question about why he wouldn’t want to cut taxes for the rich when they pay most of the taxes.

His answer was totally Trumpian

Now this is a little misleading – while Trump does meander for a while he gets back to the point that Bob Kraft told him the rich don’t want a tax break and that they want to give it to the middle class. But it’s totally Trump to answer a complex question by veering off into some story where he can brag about himself, and then not really answer the question.

Here’s the video of his answer [at about the 6:20 minute mark]:

.............

This is how he governs – he doesn’t have any principle or ideology to guide him, he just goes by what sounds good from his friends and associates. Bartiromo is asking him to explain his policy based on her understanding of economics and conservatism. He answers based on the last conversation that struck his fancy on the subject.

It looks like he’s sticking to sticking it to the rich. That’s what his populist base wants, whether it actually helps anything or not…

Comments:

This is why that man on the street thread where they ask about the tax plan thinking it's Bernie Sanders but it's really Trump's was bogus to begin with. There is no "Trump plan" on anything. Trump has no driving fundamental principles. He can't defend what he can't define. He's a surface swimming imbecile who lacks any abilities to go deep. He only wants talking bullet points and only cares about end results, and only then if those end results gets him what he wants whatever that may be at any given time, whether accolades or money, not necessarily in that order.

......
The one thing Trump has excelled at has been self-promotion. It’s how he’s been making money since he bankrupted the casinos. By marketing his name on buildings and clothing. He’s been a good “salesman”. Other than that, he’s been a lousy businessman.

And as Rubio once said during the debates, how do you bankrupt a casino when the business model based on stistical odds is that “the House always wins.”
