Crossover would actually be below 4x because the benefits of having only one 64M chip instead of 4 16M's counts for something as well.

I myself would bet that a board maker or appliance maker starting out today with a blank sheet of paper would be designing in 64M's rather than 16M's. By the time they (the board maker) gets the product to production 18 months from now (depending on what kind of board it is of course), crossover will be almost assured.
