When to sell ?

I'm sure most investors, market timers, speculators and traders have their own benchmarks of when to sell.

When do you sell?

Father of Value Investing Benjamin Graham held his shares until a 50% gain was realised but no longer than 2 years. This brings up the question: Are you investing in a company that'll give you a 50% gain? Do the fundamentals of the company allow that to happen?

I'm not attacking anyone on when they sell, each to their own.

But, when in the last 2 years someone has increased their portfolio by ( for the sake of the argument) 50%
from $100,000 to $150,000 by buying stocks ignored by the market despite their outstanding underlying fundamentals.

And you portfolio has gained by only 10% from $100,000 to $110,000 by investing with the crowd, a few tens of thousands here and there start to add up.

If Wall Street guides you then getting someone else to manage your money is probably a better choice.

Don't let Wall Street dictate what you should and shouldn't buy. Profit of it's pessimistic attitude rather than the optimistic.
