'98 telecom starts with a bang. I suspect we will see a lot more fireworks - further AT&T acquisitions, and Sprint won't stay quiet. (Keep an eye on WCII). Lucent and Nortel may start a bidding war for ASND ($35/share was reported to have been turned down from LU). IMO, this'll be the year of consolidation and settling out regulatory issues, and maybe late 98, but 99-2000 will be ADSL rollouts. Steve
