pcmag.com

<Big Snip> The complete lengthy and informative article is available at the link above and is worth a read.

Best Security Suite?

Neil concludes the article linked above by stating: "The chart at top of the article details ten security suites that PC Mag definitely recommends, including multi-device suites, mega-suites, and entry-level suites. ... If you're looking for a suite that covers the basics without getting in the way, Bitdefender Internet Security and Kaspersky Internet Security are our Editors' Choice winners. In the mega-suite range, Editors' Choice goes to Bitdefender Total Security and Kaspersky Total Security, with more features than you can imagine. Symantec Norton Security Premium, which protects up to 10 devices, is our Editors' Choice product for cross-platform multi-device security suite. With a powerful, integrated suite protecting your devices, you can stay protected without worrying about balancing security against performance."

Neil rates 5 of the suites from 3 publishers (Bitdefender, Kaspersky Labs) with 4.5/5 Stars:

Security Suites and other more basic antivirus/malware software from those 3 Security Software publishers consistently rank at the top of Neil's rankings and those of AV-Test. Five additional suites from Kaspersky Labs, McAfee, Trend Micro are rated 4.0/5 stars by Neil in this report update. In re 'better pricing' see the Bootnote at the end of this post.

Bootnote: I just sent the following response to an individual that asked me what Security Suite client I use to protect 5 devices for $4/month.

I purchase the majority of paid software, computer peripherals and often a computer (typically every 3rd or 4th year) during Cyber Week or just slightly prior to it from Amazon, Staples. manufacturer/publisher, or others. Since 2009 I've purchased Symantec's Norton Security Deluxe for 3 or subsequently 5 devices @$19.95 during that week from either Amazon (or last year) from Symantec direct. I'll do the same this year. This was Last years purchase: Message 30331446 . Amazon kicked in the same deal price at the beginning of Cyber Week last year. Best, - Eric -

Best Deal pricing of the year on many of the reviewed products above (several of which have more multipl device plans) is generally available during Cyber Week (which begin on Black Friday November 24th and the following Cyber Monday this year.
