then why do you still think it is odd that the Chinese gov. eliminates their subsidies??

Here is an article claims on average, the Chinese gov. subsidize US$15000 for each EV sold in China. I do NOT know how true is this claim. But even if the number is anywhere close to it, it is mind boggling. After all, China's money is NOT growing out of the tree. So sooner rather than later, the Chinese gov. has to use some other way to replace the cash subsidies, and yet force consumer to buy EVs. I guess EV mandate is THE way.
