It doesn't matter what people say about any of these issues. We know the US was horribly wrong when it invaded. Some of this we now know because of 20-20 hindsight but most of it was known before the war.

We didn't know Saddam was lying about having WMDs to prevent an invasion from Iran but after he said he didn't have WMDs and the UN couldn't find any (before the war) the US was morally obligated to prove its case and it never did.

The US could have proved it's case by showing satellite pictures of real WMDs, instead of lying about what they were seeing or after learning it was a lie to state it was a mistake or lie and then provide better intelligence. It was this last part that led to war for no reason - their inability to admit they were wrong after spending so many months lying.
