The ideas that were created by Facebook and Twitter are now used in many other countries. China has a Twitter type company also. I'm not sure if they have something like Facebook. Tech isn't only new devices it's about new ideas. These new ideas are creating massive wealth. Google's devices, browsers, and operating system have been able to do voice recognition for many years. That concept is now becoming universal (used in other countries). I guess my point is simple, the US still has the ideas that change the world while each country adapts our ideas to their culture. The cell phone was obviously one of the biggest global changes in our lifetimes because it harnessed the Internet. Apple was able to create a cell phone based on the Internet a few years after the Internet was made public. It's something similar to putting a man on the moon - a historic human achievement. Google too is historic. There are thousands of search engine but only Google can find almost anything we want within seconds. We'll never go back to not having Google. Amazon is changing how the world shops etc.
