You might be right. One fact that argues in your favor is that the Fed's balance sheet hasn't shrunk one iota since Yellen's announcement in late September that they would begin Quantitative Tightening in October. I've been watching and the balance sheet has actually increased by $10B. So there has been no QT. She said they would do $30B in QT in October alone. We only have 2 days left in October, so to hit their goal, they'd have to do $40B in QT between Monday and Tuesday this week. Will it happen? I'm beginning to have doubts. The Fed appears to have lied about QT and done the opposite. We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. If they do indeed begin QT, then a crash will happen sooner rather than later. So your gamble on the favorable charts is a really a gamble that the Fed has lied and will not do QT. We'll see how that worm turns.
