... obviously there is a credibility problem anytime investors perceive there is one; no argument there. but one aspect of all the harsh criticism strikes me as somewhat inconsistent, if not unfair: on the one hand, most seem to feel that the 1-cent earnings miss is not all that bad, but at the same time management is being blasted for having said it was comfortable with the estimates.
... one other (oversimplified) observation: seems rain might do well to stick to tourist areas and or at least reassess the move into suburbs and shopping centers. the notion of three in the chicago area always did seem curious, or perhaps some kind of costly experiment.
... re disney: since it always seems to be operating at about 100 percent capacity, one wonders how it can find ways to keep revenues rising so much.
