Regarding us finding we are a hologram, I'm not much of a mathematician but there's something about Goedel and self referential boot-strapping in a closed system in it.

Others such as Scott Adams say it's almost certain it's all a software simulation a la The Matrix.

I think such ponderings are like a couple of tuatuas wondering about the meaning of life and what London is like. Under sand, under water, on the coast of New Zealand with nothing but touch to use, it's hard to get much perspective.
