Sam,

Greenspan spoke of DE-flation the other day. That's scary too,
especially if you own any equity that you may one day hope to sell(house, stocks, car...).

It seems that this last seven years of relative prosperity has been quite finely balanced, and now a couple wheels are wobbly. Probably it is good for the US economy, but it may be painful for a few months.
