The other thing we need to look at is the quality of jobs added. Under Obama, many of the jobs added were temp jobs and low paying jobs. That does not represent a standard of living increase for society as a whole, because many of those people used to have full time jobs with health insurance. So yes, the analysis is flawed from many perspectives, not the least of which is the flaw I pointed out to zzzpat, which was that Presidents aren't really the ones who control these things. Mostly, Presidents control the military and foreign policy, but they are just bit players in our economy. They tinker, but they don't really move the tanker, unless they have the personality to sway Congress.
