Hi Rarebird: Some general thoughts on the market the last month: The market always dislikes uncertainty and we have it big time,especially vs 1/1/97.If any stock misses the arbitrary consensus numbers,it now gets sliced in half,+ ! look at oracle,adpt,efii,etc. Is it worth holding any position? When the bad news comes out and even a million shares have to be matched to open - -down it goes - far better to step aside;if cube earnings exceed 1/22/98 it can easily be bought back in - better a point premium backed by clear earnings results than to wish! To quote a market gem: if the only reason to hold a stock is you are wishing it is going up; time to sell. Finally - remember rule #2 which is- remember rule #1 - which is: preservation of capital!
