After the telecoms were deregulated they collapsed. Facts are our friends. Btw, Democrats took us from record deficits when Bush left office to a few billion shy of a balanced budget before republicans did anything on tax cuts. Look at the numbers. They don't lie. Democrat tax increases balanced the budget - lowering the deficit years before republicans had a clue what was going on.
